What is a Charter School?
A Charter School is a publically funded independently run school. Each charter is unique and has greater flexibility in operations compared to traditional public schools. Charter schools offer choice for families looking for a school that will be a “right fit” for their child.

What grades do you serve?
IAA is a middle and high school serving students grades 6-12.

Do you charge tuition?
We are a tuition free charter school.

Do you have auditions?
IAA does not require an audition or any specific background in the majors or electives we offer. Our goal is to provide a solid academic foundation, expose students to our areas of concentration (Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Journalism and Fashion Design), and explore other electives.

Are uniforms required?
Yes. The dress code for 2021-2022 states:
2021-2022 students may order school uniforms online. We are introducing new uniforms tops with the logo. Logos are optional for the 2021-2022 school year.
Middle School– Navy blue, khaki pants, shorts, or skirts
High School– Gray tops, khaki pants, shorts, or skirtsPlease see school uniform policy for more details.

Is transportation provided?
School Districts within a 10 mile radius of the school provide transportation. Allentown, Bethlehem, Northampton, and Whitehall are just a few.

What are the school hours?
Drop off begins at 7:05 am and dismissal is at 2:14 pm.

Is lunch provided?
Breakfast and lunch are provided, free of charge.

Do you offer sports?
Many of our students participate in sports with their home school districts. We have begun the application process to have a PIAA sports program. Students may participate in sports with their home school districts.

Do you follow other schools for weather related delays or closings?
We announce our own school closings and delays. You will see Innovative Arts Academy on WFMZ TV and we send out alerts with our one call now system. In addition, the announcement will be on Facebook and our website.
